I just wanted to post pics and memories of those who have passed away before us. Memorial day is not just for those brave men and women who fought for our country but for those who have passed on and left there happy imprints on our lives. In honor of Shawn, my brother I thought I would share a funny story he told me about himself. I'm not sure how appropriate it is but, I don't care he laughed about it and shared it with me so, I will share it with you. He was living in Pocatello, Idaho at the time. His bathroom was being worked on so he had to go down the hall to another apartment to use their shower and toilet for awhile. The apartment was empty at the time, and Shawn went there to take a shower. Well a young couple was managing these apartments didn't communicate very well and the guys poor wife was unaware of Shawn using the bathroom. She went into the bathroom thinking no one was there. To her surprise Shawn was butt naked about to get out and Shawn grabbed the detachable shower hose and kept spraying her in the face screaming I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. She ran out of the apartment screaming, and Shawn stayed clear of her for a good week. I don't think he looked at her in the eye again! He called me shortly after it had happened and we both laughed our asses off! He kept telling me he felt so bad for her, because she saw him naked, bahahahahaha! Funny guy, man I miss him so much!

Sue is another person that I loved and you just can't forget. She like many Sorensens, was kind of a required taste. Once you got passed the crazy, you see a very fun loving soul! Sue could talk, and talk, and talk; but I always enjoyed her and she always made me laugh!

My grandfather, Murray Sorensen, I never had the pleasure of meeting, but to this day I still have people asking me if I was related to him. Many people have shared neat stories of how kind and compassionate he was to others, I hope I can follow his example!

To all of those sweet babies that never got to stay here on earth, Lilly, Kurt, Taylor, your missed and never forgotten. I can't wait tell we meet again!

So as some of you may have heard I was pregnant, but sadly my little girl didn't make it. Monday night she came and was just to early to survive. I decided she should be named Lilly. I was going to go with Lucy but Lilly came to mind that day so that's what I will call my angel! It's funny how much something so tragic can make your family grow closer. My love for Walker has grown and I have never felt closer to him. He has been so supportive, as well as all my dear friends, thank you! This makes ten miscarriages, but this one was more intense due to the fact that I got to hold her and name her. However she must be one amazing angel, due to the fact that she doesn't have to endure this life with all of its trials. So some day I will get to hold my precious Lilly again. Thank you dear friends and family for your prayers and love, I love you all!

Not a food baby!

So I'm kind of a science experiment! I was about 4 months pregnant and had no clue, it turns out it was a tubular pregnancy. I was lucky and no tubes where damaged. Once that was taken care of I was about to try a better birth control, seeing how we are not planning on getting pregnant for at least another two years. Funny thing happened, my belly just kept growing! So it turns out I'm still pregnant, about five months along. I go to the doctor next week to find out some answers and what I'm having. I guess I could have been pregnant with twins, I could have gotten pregnant around the same time, who knows. I'm a walking uterus! When I had told some family members the response I got was, "Can't you guys keep it in your pants". Bahahaha! Well birth control means nothing to my body, however I have now had 9 miscarriages, crazy!
P.S. I think it's a girl just because of how I'm gaining weight, my ass is huge! If it is a girl the name will be Lucy, lulu for a nickname, if it's a boy he may never be named.

I'm excited to say that I'm starting my own photography business! I am taking some classes and hopefully I will improve as time goes by. My new blog is vintagephtographydj.blospot.com. I will start posting my work as I go, so check it out. Keep in mind I'm new at this but hope to improve with time. Starting next month I will Begin my pin up shoots, so if your interested in doing a nice little book for your man, give me a call!
On another note, I'm still going to go to beauty school starting the end of March! Walker is still trucking along in school, taking a ton of math..Yuck! My kids are getting so big, and life is good!

o.k. I'm on day 40, the last day of my diet and I have lost 22 pounds. It's not quit what I thought my ending results woulds be, but hey 22 in six weeks I'll take it! I will take another six weeks off and start back on April 1st and hopefully lose the rest of my weight! I'm kind of excited now that I can exercise. I want to thank those who have supported me on this diet! Your cheering really helped me through it! Thank you and I can't wait until I'm back on it again to finish what I have started!

O.k. it's now been 15 days and I've lost 13 pounds! Only 27 pounds to go! My cravings are gone and I'm feeling pretty good now so I hope I keep it up. Six weeks is a long time to go without carbs. If anyone else out there that's doing this diet let me know how your doing!

Ok. its been 9 days and I've lost 9 pounds! It was a little rough there for a few days, I was slowly starving to death. By day six the hunger pains seemed to disappear, so we are all good. Hopefully I will continue to lose weight at this speed. I will let you know how I'm doing next week!

O.k. I'm going to blog about my whole experience on this diet. Once a week I will report on my progress, I'm hoping this will help me stay on track! Day one isn't bad due to the fact the first two days that you are on this diet you can eat whatever you want! Thanks Christie for your concerns, I know its not the safest diet, but I'm too that point where I just want it gone, so hopefully everything will be fine. I will report back next Monday with hopefully a big drop in weight!

New Years Resolutions

I guess its that time of year when we all right down our goals and we hope we fulfill them. I like to right at least ten so I least get 5 done by the end of the year. Sometimes our goals are set really high. So here we go...

1. I will be doing the HCG diet starting on the 10th and the goal here is to have all that lovely baby weight gone by the time Sawyer reaches 1, so April 29, 2010 I better be down to a healthy 135 pounds. I will post before and after pics!

2. I will be starting beauty school in June and my goal is to be done with in 20 months.

3. Still working on going to the temple with Walker!

4. I plan on running in some sort of a marathone

5. finish the renovations to our house and yard!

6. be a better mom!

7. make new couple friends, I know that sounds funny but its really bugging Walker and I that we have know one to hang out with.

8. be more supporting to my husband when hes in school. hes a boob and I'm a bitch!

9. scuba certified

10. make Walker do something crazy and have photo evidence.

That pretty much sums it up! Any suggestions on Walkers Crazy dare?

So a friend of mine wrote a blog on everything shes thankful for and she has inspired me to do the same. I'm so thankful for my family. Family is everything to me. I'm very rich in the way of having my family support. Sorry I couldn't find a good picture of the rest of my family(parents, and brothers). I'm very grateful for my church calling. Walker and I teach the C.T.R. class. these kids teach us so much and keep us accountable! I'm thankful for my job, (sorry no pics) these days we are lucky to have work. I'm thankful for my husband and all he does for our family! I'm thankful for my children, they bring me such joy! Not a day goes by that they haven't made me laugh! Last but not least I'm thankful for the friendships I have made throughout my life.

If you didn't guess already we had a carnival theme for Harmony's fourth birthday! We had so much fun and we went a little far, but that's o.k. you only turn 4 once right!!!! It kind of makes me sad to see my little grow up so fast, shes no longer my baby any more. She started pre school this week and she did great! She still has a hard time being dropped off, but by the time I go and get her she is having the time of her life and she doesn't want to leave. Its so fun seeing her grow and learn! She went up to the teacher and told her she had to crap or she had the clap, so the teacher retold that to me and I could not stop laughing. I did assure her that Harmony does not have the clap and we would work on our bathroom edict. Too funny!!!

O.k. I have been really struggling, so maybe it would help me to bitch about it for a bit. You know you hear about postpartum depression, but you never think you would have it. I'm not sure if I do or not but I think I might see a doctor soon if I don't feel better soon. It seems like everyday I cry, sometimes because I'm frustrated that I haven't lost my baby weight, sometimes because its hard to manage two kids, and sometimes for no reason at all. I don't get it? I love my children and I wouldn't have it any other way, but what the hell! So hopefully a doctor can prescribe something for me so it doesn't feel like I'm going to lose my mind!!! Any thoughts? Has anyone experienced what I'm feeling and what did you do about it?

The summer is going fast

(sunset from our driveway, I love sunsets) It's been too crazy lately. This summer feels like it just began, and I see that the time for school and fall is just around the corner. It doesn't seem fair that the weather has been so whacked and now out of the blue, it's way hot! Here it is mid July and we really only have six weeks until school, yuck!!! Anyway here's whats going on in our lives. Walker and I are taking a temple prep class, so cross your figures we hope to make it to the temple by the end of the year; we will see walker is starting to feel alot of pressure so I'm backing off a bit. Harmony is nearly potty trained, Yes!!! She will go with no problems as long as she can go on the little potty. I hope she gets it completely by September, she starts pre school then. Sawyer is getting cuter and cuter everyday. He loves it when you sit and talk to him he will just grin and giggle. Poor Walker has been working 12 hour days in a very hot shop, so hes not too happy, but we are grateful for the money. I have decided not to go to school this fall and just enjoy the holidays with my two beautiful children. I will however, go back full time in the spring and summer of 2010. Right now I'm focusing my time on trying to lose this baby weight. I have a goal to walk 100 miles a month, and so far I'm keeping up. So I think I have got you all up to speed, we are quite boring really.

Our fourth of July wasn't as fun as I hoped it would be. Walker went camping with his brother and me and the kids stayed home. Sawyer and I were sick in bed and poor Harmony was going stir crazy. Good thing for grandparents, they came and got Harmony so she wouldn't be bored. Walker came home in time that day to watch and light off fire works. By the time we started we were all so tired we lite like three off and went to bed. So maybe later we will put on a show. Heres some pics of the kids on the fourth.

Sunday June 28th Little Sawyer was blessed by my dad, Thom Sorensen. Not only was Sawyer blessed but Walker recieved the pristood!!! It was a big day for us. I'm so excited, our goal is to be sealed in the temple by the end of the year, so hopefully we will make it happen. I'm so gratefull for all of our family and friends that have been supporting us to make this day happen. I cant wait to see what the furture brings! Here are some pics of our family on that day!

Baby Sawyer!!!

April 29, 2009 was a day I will never forget! We went to the hospital at six in the morning to be induced. The doctor started me on some pill that's supposed to make me dilate more. When I arrived I was at a three so we had a ways to go. after four hours and no results he started me on Pitt. Mean while Walker was getting pampered with massages while I was walking the halls in pain. I had to add that, just to be a punk, LOL!!! The doctor was going to break my water around one and wanted me to wait to have the good drugs until after the water was broken. Well he was two hours late and I could have killed him. Finally he broke my water and I was only dilated to a four. He then asked if I would wait and get the drugs until I was dilated a little further. As soon as he left the hospital, I thought,"Bull Shit", give me the drugs. Once the drugs hit me I was nice Desi again. Five thirty rolled around and I was only dilated to a six. Walker wanted to go home and check on Harmony, I told him if he leaves that's when the baby will want to come. He left, but was only ten minutes away. Sure enough the nurses came in and told me not to move or push, because the baby was right there. I called Walker and he and the doctor ran in at the same time. The doctor wasn't going to let Walker just sit back and enjoy the show, he made him suite up and help deliver Sawyer. We were both kind of not sure about it but the doctor would not take no for an answer. After it was all said and done we were both glad that he did; it just made it that much more special. At 6:17 my little angel was here. Hes perfect in every way, and other than jaundice hes healthy. So I'm not sure you all wanted to hear the details, but too bad it's my blog.

Easter was so fun with Harmony this year, shes at the age where she is starting to understand it. She woke up to her basket and clapped her hand and yelled yeah presents!!! so cute. Anyway not much to say, it was fun!

Life in the fast lane!

O.K it's been a long time, it's just been so crazy that I haven't had time to write. So Sawyer is coming in about three weeks, hopefully no sooner then that. Two weeks ago my doctor checked me and I was dilated to a one, so theres some progress. Walker and I have a very busy schedule with school right now. I know everyone will say I told you when I say I wished I hadn't gone to school this semester! As of now the baby will be born before I'm done so I'm spending my spring break just trying to get ahead. Harmony is starting to understand that the baby is coming. She never was the type to play with baby dolls, but now is interested in babies. If she sees one in a store or church she will ask to hold it and she will call it Sawyer. However if anyone asks how I'm doing with the baby she gets mad and yell "I'm the baby", so we may have some issues when Sawyer is here. Poor Walker, we never see him, hes either at school or work. When I do see him hes ready to fall over. We both can't wait until this semester is over so we can catch our breath. It will be nice not to have to go anywhere for awhile and just enjoy our new addition to our family!

Potty training, what a pain in the butt!!! She has a mind of her own, and she will only go if she is free to be naked and have as many Popsicles as she pleases! Too funny, maybe someday she will give in and be a big girl, hopefully before Sawyer gets here! Also she is the only three year I know that is motivated to go potty in exchange for a spa treatment. She had gone to a party a few weeks ago where they did her nails and hair, and put cucumbers on their eyes, or as she says, "Pickles on the eyes." So every time she goes that's what she asks for, Pickles on the eyes!!!

Harmony is really a teenager!

Harmony is too funny. The other day she was upset because her good friend Brooke left, so she ran to her room crying. Walker felt bad and went into her room to give her some comfort but, he was asked to leave. He came out of the room and told me that she had kicked him out, I couldn't believe it so I went to go see her. She saw me come in and she walked up to me and grabbed my hand and walked me to the door and then pointed to the door and said out! She meant it and then she shut the door so she could cry alone. It was too funny, I mean come on shes three! Later that week her friend came over again and when she left Harmony again ran to her room crying. I followed her but before we reached her room she turned and yelled at me NOT NOW MOM! I don't know how parents can keep a straight face with their kids. I sat and laughed for an hour. She cracks me up. I love the drama she brings. I hope we have another girl in the future, they are so much fun. Although having a boy will be a nice change of pace. We could use a more mellow child!

Well, not much to report, Walker and I start school on Monday the 12Th. We are both taking 10 credits. We have decided with the baby coming we shouldn't go full time and relax a little more. For those of you who do not know we are having a boy! We still cant agree on a name, so far the two names in the running are Sawyer or Wesley. We would call the baby Wes if we go with that name because Walker thinks Wesley is too girly. So if you have any suggestions let me know. Harmonyn is getting so big! I cant believe that shes already three. She starts primary on Sunday so that should be fun. Walker and I have been called to teach a primary class so we can watch Harmony a little closer. Its going to be so fun to watch her learn! Well there really is much more to say, tell next time, have a good one!
